Make sure that you have FileMaker Go 17 installed on your iPad or iPhone, or FileMaker 17 installed on your Mac or PC first before opening Teacher’s Companion. NOTE: Teacher’s Companion also works fine on FileMaker Go 13, 14, 15, 16, or 17 for iPad or iPhone, and FileMaker Pro 13, 14, 15, 16, or 17 for Mac or PC. FileMaker Go 17 for iPad – FREE
- Download the FileMaker Go 17 application from the Apple App Store – it’s 100% free!!!
- Transfer the Teacher’s Companion (teacherscompanion.fmp12) database file to your iPad via iTunes, Email or Dropbox.
- If you transferred the file via iTunes, you should be able to open Teacher’s Companion in FileMaker Go straight away. If you transferred the file via Email or DropBox, you can select the ‘Open in … ‘ option and then choose the FileMaker Go app.
FileMaker 17 for Mac/PC
- Download the FileMaker 17 desktop software from the FileMaker website. You can either Buy the FileMaker Pro software or Try it for free for 45 days.
- Once downloaded and installed, simply double-click the Teacher’s Companion (teacherscompanion.fmp12) database file to open in FileMaker 17.
